I always was pretty satisfied with it, I find it much more convenient then to have my servers manage the emails of my company or my clients. Plus, the Gmail interface is very nice and so much better then any email client I used in the past (Outlook, Thunderbird, etc.).

Now, a few weeks ago, I noticed that something changed in the UI of Google Mail. The left menu was different. Instead of the cluttered Compose Mail, Inbox, Priority Inbox, Sent Mail, Drafts and All Mail links, there were 3 simple links: Mail, Contacts and Tasks. But this “new interface” only lasted a week or so, and then it got back to what it was before. But also realized that this new interface was the common interface of my normal Gmail account. You can see the 2 screenshots here. The first one is the new more simple interface, and the second one is what I’m seeing inside the Mail of my Google Account.


In addition to the new interface being much more clean, the new Contacts and Tasks are much more nicer then what we have on our Google Apps. Now, I have tried everything to bring it back in our Google Account, but did not see how. I played with the themes, I played with the settings of Google Apps, nothing did it.
Is there a setting somewhere that can change it ? Or is this a feature only for Gmail for now, which Google will eventually fully deploy on Google Apps ?

This morning, I see the new interface on my Google App Mail… Very weird…
